Our recent webinar on Exploring Artificial Intelligence Innovation in Predicting and Preventing Obesity-Related Vascular Disease is now available to watch on our YouTube channel.

Held on 7 October 2025, the AI-POD webinar offered an in-depth look at the project’s vision, objectives, and ongoing developments in AI-driven cardiovascular risk prediction. Presentations highlighted the joint risk score, integrating clinical, laboratory, imaging, and lifestyle data, and showcased the Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS), which combines multimodal information to support personalised clinical decisions.

The AI-POD Citizen App was also presented, demonstrating its role in empowering users, supporting health monitoring, and enhancing communication with healthcare providers. Other sessions focused on the project’s contributions to vascular risk management, addressing limitations of traditional tools and how AI-POD aims to enable early identification of high-risk patients for timely intervention.

The interactive Q&A session provided valuable insights from both participants and the expert panel. Key discussion points included the choice of CT imaging over MRI, the complex factors influencing obesity beyond diet, the scientific grounding of the Citizen App, and strategies to ensure reliability and usability of self-reported lifestyle data.

Overall, the webinar emphasised how AI-POD integrates advanced AI technologies with clinical practice and patient engagement to improve cardiovascular health outcomes.
